Rooney told the BBC today that last season's Red Bulls had shown good form. The striker said that in some years, except for the 2017/18 season, if Manchester United play the same season they could Wins the Premier League title. The reason why Rooney withdrew from the 2017/18 season was because of that season, Manchester City proved to be perfectly well.
The 32-year-old striker insists that although Manchester United did not even lift a trophy in the last season, Their style can make them more confident and try to continue. Rooney believes that Manchester United can win against Manchester City next season.
"Hopefully not long after Manchester United will win the Premier League title," the player said.
In the 2017/18 season Manchester United have played just two games in the league table, with 81 points, while Manchester City champions have 100 points.
Rooney is left out of Manchester United in 2017 to join Everton. One season later, the players decided to join the United States United States.
