Rising surges incite portable surveying stations

Because of rising surge water from a fallen dam in Laos, experts in Stung Treng area have assigned no less than ten surveying stations to higher reason for the national race on Sunday. 

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology said recently that surge water from the fallen Lao dam was influencing various zones in Stung Treng territory.

Commonplace Governor Mom Saroeun said yesterday that authorities have officially educated villagers of the circumstance. 

Bou Andy, a villager, said yesterday that he is moving his family from Sekong collective's Siem Pang town to a slope around 700 meters from the surges along the Sekong stream. 

"The water submerged my home at around over two meters high," Mr Andy said. "I am currently moving to higher ground since I fear for the wellbeing of my family." 

He said that nearby authorities had handed-off data with respect to the surveying stations. 

"I haven't lost my properties since I was rapidly moving it over the water as it was rising," Mr Andy included. 

Sim Chetra, a warrior, said yesterday that his unit was sent to the region to help villagers influenced by surge water.
